Original tasting and review : This is
Encantadora Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina, 2013, finished at 13.2% alcohol and first sampled 2 years from vintage date, in August, 2015.
In the glass: Deep brick, moving to opaque in the center.
On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows sturdy classic fruit, with some brambly elements. From the aroma, seems like this will be sturdy, fruity and structured.
On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact full of structured blackberry fruit and white pepper, with enough oak to hold up the structure soundly. Modest but very clean finish.
In summary: Overall, rates a solid three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
