Original tasting and review : This is Master (Andrew) Peace Red Willie Blend, South Eastern Australia, 2006, finished at 13.5% alcohol and first sampled nine years from vintage date, in September, 2015.

Inspired by this wine: Whittling sticks and enjoying hot cocoa by the campfire.

In the glass: Deep orange brick.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows soft cedar and eucalyptus.  From the aroma, seems like this will be rich and gentle.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact soft red muddled berries with layers of light cocoa and gentle oak.  The finish still shows just enough acid and tannin to be lively, while allowing the sip to fade gently and cleanly.  Brings the sense of South Eastern Australia without all the bravado.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars with a plus on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, making this a best value at the bargain price point.
