Original tasting and review : This is Oak Ridge Winery 3 Girls Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi, California, 2013, finished at 13% alcohol and first sampled  2 years from vintage date, in September, 2015.

Inspired by this wine: Couched in broad leather chairs, chatting before a smoky fireplace in the big, old ballroom.

In the glass: Deep muddy magenta, opaque in the center.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows black cherry, currant and some oak.  From the aroma, seems like this will be fat and chewy.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact bringing massive, fat, zin-like black fruit, with plenty of oak surrounding the flavor.  Some bright red berries bring the sip deep up into your cheeks, where it sits for a long, slow descent to your palate and the surprisingly-clean finish.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars with a plus for bold pleasantness on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, making this a no-brainer best value at its bargain price-point.
