Original tasting and review : This is Yellow Tail Big Bold Red, South Eastern Australia, non-vintage, finished at 13.5% alcohol and first young, in September, 2015.  This review sample was acquired commercially, at a "practically free" price point.

Inspired by this wine: Blowing up big new cinnamon-flavored rubber balloons; letting them fly through the air.

In the glass: Burly, beefy, musty blood red.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows musty strawberry and spices.  From the aroma, seems like this will be fat, fun, sweet and bold.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact full of fat, deep fruit as anticipated, but deeper in tone, with bold black cherry coming through atop the strawberry and red fruits.  SOft mouthfeel, few tannins and a light acid tone that helps lift the sip.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale and is a best value given the bargain price point.
