Review: *** $$ Kalder Syrah, California, 2013

Original tasting and review : This is Kalder Syrah, California, 2013,, finished at 12.6% alcohol and first sampled two years from vintage date, in September, 2015.

Inspired by this wine: Sitting on the front steps, watching the road crew repave the street, enjoying cherry colas.

In the glass: Light burgundy and ruby.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows light, shy red cherry.  From the aroma, seems like this will be light and bright.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact a mouth full of bright, sweet red cherries with some light cola elements.  Burst of fruit gets supported by clean, gentle acids for a quick, clean finish.  Some fresh raspberry elements come into play as the sip wraps up.

In summary: Overall, rates just touches three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale
