Original tasting and review : This is Mollydooker Boxer, McLaren Vale, Australia, 2007, a full-bodied shiraz finished at 16% alcohol and first sampled 8 years from vintage date, in July, 2015.

In the glass: Black burgundy, opaque from an eighth inch of the edge.

On the nose: Poured at cellar temperature and swirled vigorously, shows sweet, seductive mentholated black fruit.  From the aroma, seems like this will be deep and full.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact full, luscious and layered.  Shows menthol, cedar, black fruit, wrapped in velvety tannins.  Acids are gentle.  The sip sinks into your cheeks and sits fast for a long time.

In summary: Overall, rates four stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, making this a quintessential best vale.
