Original tasting and review : This is LaPosta Tinto Red Blend, Mendoza, Argentina, 2013, finished at 13.5% alcohol and first sampled 2 years from vintage date, in September, 2015.  This is a blend of 60% malbec, 20% bonarda and 20% syrah.  Review sample was purchased commercially.

Inspired by this wine: Just enjoyed a campfire, now we're stomping out the hot, smoky coals.

In the glass: Black magenta, opaque from a half inch of the edge.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows husky, smoky red fruit.  From the aroma, seems like this will be deep and lusty.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact showing plenty of red fruit, cocoa, some cinnamon and plenty of deeper charcoal surround sound. Bright red currant flavors leap from this mix of deeper flavors, bringing a note of brightness into the creamy, layered finish.

In summary: Overall, rates an easy three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.  Almost touches a plus because of its sleek finish.
