By way of background: We've reviewed and enjoyed a number of 19 Crimes wines.  You can see them here.  This chardonnay, named after Martha Stewart, is part of a breakaway line of celebrity wines for 19 Crimes.  The earlier one reviewed was "Snoop Dog".  As folks may know, Snoop and Martha are buddies of a sort.  19 Crimes Snoop Dog was a best value.  Let's see how Martha's Chard does.

Inspired by this wine:  We're tucked in comfy wool coats and crunching on a crispy apple as we start our walk.

Specs: This chardonnay is finished at 13.8% alcohol and first sampled two years from the 2020 vintage date, in June 2022.

In the glass: Transparent with light yellow and gold hints.

On the nose: Poured at cellar temperature and swirled vigorously, brings a bright apple melange sprinkled with a few drops of lemon.

On the palate:   Soft and silky wash of molten apple crumb cake, bringing a sweet velvet sheen across your palate.  The sip fades into bright friendly acids at the edges, quite lemony. Definitely ready for your next sip.

In summary: Overall, rates four stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, becoming another best value in the 19 Crimes line-up!
